![]() Try to keep the plane as light as possible outside of the really important stuff. Make anything that isn't really important out of foam, including the "skin" and perhaps "non-wing" flat pieces of the wings, and any decoration pieces. If the engine and props being steel unbalances things too much, make them into aluminum too.ģ. Make the control flaps out of aluminum and have them directy attached to a skeleton element. Possibly make the propellers and their axels out of it too.Ģ. Maybe do the same with the engine (perhaps have it be aluminum though?). ![]() Also make the pilot seat out of this, and have it connected to a skeleton element. Use the longest, flattest, narrow parts you can. Make a very minimal "skeleton" out of steel. Here is an idea not for a specific plane, but a theory on how to BUILD pretty much any plane to maybe be more durable:ġ. I posted this in the other plane idea topic too, but thought I'd also put it here in case you want to see how well these ideas actually work yourself:
